I was clicking through the recipes and some of the links no longer work. Maybe you took down some posts? The ones I found (I started clicking a bunch) were for the chocolate banana cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, noodles with almond ginger sauce, stir-fried veggies & crispy tofu, and best chocolate pudding. Not sure if there are more missing. Just thought you should know just in case :)
Hugs!

What is that amazing-looking cake in the upper left corner of your primary site photo header? It looks like a walnut caramel cheesecake. I clicked through all the cake and pie links, but I couldn't find it. I'd love to make it!

Emily von Euw said...

That is a caramel apple pie, Amanda :) It's in my e-book which you can buy for $7.00 here:

If you choose to buy it, it should send you a download link but if not - email me at emilyvoneuw@gmail.com and I will send it to you.

Hello I was wondering what essential oils you add to your moisturizer? Also about how mucj of each ingredient? How long does it usually last? Thank you!

Emily von Euw said...

I love lavender, ylang ylang and patchouli. I add about 1 teaspoon of each of those to a an equal mix of 1 cup of castor, avocado and jojba oil. =)It lasts for ever. I've only made it once and it's not even half done! Just 1/2 teaspoon a day or so.

I just found your blog and I am so impressed by you. I always get so overwhelmed when I try to transition to a more raw diet. Your recipes are so great, I love that they are not over complicated by sprouting and dehydrating things for days. I am doing a green smoothie cleanse and then starting a whole foods life. I will be trying lots of your recipes so thank you for spending your time sharing them.

Hi there, I am a vegan but am struggling with a good meal plan for my week to week that wont have me getting a million things from the store and having a million dollar grocery bill. What does your meal plan for a week typically look like?

Emily von Euw said...

I understand! In a day this is my diet: juice or smoothie for breakfast comprised of a few pieces of fruits and a few cups of greens form the garden. I eat several more pieces of fruit throughout the day, and snack on veggies and hummus, raw snacks, etc. For dinner I will have a giant salad, a bowl of fruit, a raw entree, or a whole food cooked meal comprised of vegetables, protein and grains. Times that by seven and there's a week of food! To save money, grow what you can, buy nuts in bulk, and buy foods like rice, beans, etc. They are nutritious, filling and super cheap.

My girls have been told by their doctor to switch to a raw vegan diet, I am sooo happy to have found your site. Lucky for me they already love raw fruits and vegetables, however they are young and their food needs to have eye appeal. This is where I was getting stuck, I was just cutting up fruits and veggies and serving them on a plate. It was getting boring for them. After a little searching I found you and you are now my saving grace! They are going to love these recipes... mostly the deserts I see :) I just want you to know that what you are doing is helping cure these two beautiful little girls of mine and instead of being picked on at school about their lunches I can forsee a few kids asking to try new things... Anyway I can't praise what you are doing enough! Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful talent with us.

So, I've just stumbled across your blog and I'm so excited! We're vegan already, but are just discovering the raw concept. We have three children ages eleven, eight, and two. I'm just curious whether or not you think there are any special considerations when feeding children and especially toddlers a raw diet. We already do a multi-vitamin specifically for vegans that contains B-12 and we do vitamin D for the kids. Do you think there's anything else we would need to do to prepare to switch our children over to raw?

Emily von Euw said...

Great to hear that :) Well I'm no doctor but I think you are good! Make sure you feed them enough, that's all! And always do research so you are well informed.

Hi Em!
I loooove your blog and am slowly but surely moving towards a whole food vegan diet with the help of your super creative recipes...so I feel kind of lame asking you for something so boring, but here goes... oatcakes! They're like my go to snack - with some hummus or mashed avocado and grated carrot,...oh man. But the only ones I can find are full of salt and whatever else. Any ideas for a healthy, possibly raw version (doesn't actually need to include oats)?
My avocados and I thank you

Emily your Blog is exactly what I've been looking for. I decided to look into the Raw Vegan life style when I began to notice over the past month or so that when I made turkey burgers "every" Friday for my family, and a chicken dinner of "some" kind every week, I wasn't "feeling" it........I was just getting tired of eating meat. Unfortunately, I didn't know where to start and even though I bought books on Veganism and Raw Foods ( I couldn't find a book that combined the two subjects) they were so confusing and spoke more of how they became Vegans or Raw Foodies than providing me with guidance. Your blog not only provides the basics but answers my biggest question, "WHAT DO I EAT?" I won't ramble, but just want to say thank you soooooo much for all of these wonderful recipes with ingredients that I RECOGNIZE; you have really made it much easier for me to take this step and in a way that will guarantee success. (As long as I put in the work :-) You are awesome !!!!!

I have been vegan for about a month, and a raw vegan for around two weeks, I feel better than I've ever felt! I also live in Canada, and I am quite interested in superfoods. Where would I buy them? Also wondering if glycemic index is important to you, should I be careful with it? I love your blog, it is inspirational!

Emily von Euw said...

@slow loris
You can buy stuff like spirulina, cacao powder, etc. online or at Whole Foods or health food stores :) I don't worry about the GI because I just eat fruits for my sugar and I don't have any problems doing that. If you feel good eating fruit - keep doin' it!

Philippines Food said...

Philippine pili nuts from the Bicol region in the Philippines is a great Filipino or Philippines food orsnack. Pili nuts are very healthy and nutritious indeed, being a source of energy, potassium and iron. They also have protein, dietary fiber / fibre, and calcium as well as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.  I know they have no cholesterol, no trans fat, and the unsalted ones have no sodium. What is great about the pili nut snack or treat is that they are so crisp, rich, and delicious.

Hi Emily,
I finally got the ingredients for one of the cakes you had on your cake recipes here but now I don't see the recipe. I think you had it featured on the right hand side of your blog a few weeks ago... It has 3 layers, all with cashew base. One layer with oranges, one layer with mint, and the last layer ... I don't remember with what. And had some chocolate sauce looking thing drizzled and some nuts on top. Please guide me to that recipe :-) I'm excited to make the cake!!
