FROSTY MINT SMOOTHIE with CHOCOLATE
Smoothie:
2 frozen bananas
1 orange
1 teaspoon dried mint leaves
1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder
1/4 cup walnuts, preferably soaked in water for 4 hours then rinsed
1-2 cups water or vegan milk
Raw chocolate:
1 tablespoon cacao powder
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
Pinch Himalayan salt
Water, if needed
To make the smoothie: blend all ingredients together until smooth, sweet and green! Adjust according to taste. Add more spirulina if it's not green enough for ya. Add more liquid if it's too thick.
To make the chocolate: stir together the ingredients until you have chocolate sauce. Decorate the inside of a glass with the chocolate using a spoon. Pour in the smoothie and enjoy!
NOTES: you can use fresh mint or a few drops of peppermint essential oil instead of dried mint, and really change this recipe up as much as you like! Do what works for you!

This looks absolutely beautiful! I love the way the colors pop out in the smoothie!!
Don't be so hard on yourself, there's no one way a blog should be. If you want to keep it going it's important you enjoy it rather than seeing it as an obligation. Take care.
Does it taste like mint chocolate? The orange is throwing me off....
I could never stop reading your blog! You have such a wonderful, authentic voice. Keep it up:)
It still looks delicious and perfect to me Emily! Sounds so good right now too :)!

okay i just made this >>drinking it as we speak<< and im FREAKING out. this is so so good!
This sounds amazing!
I just wanted to say that this is the most delicious McFrickin smoothie I've ever had. I CRAVE this all the time! To everyone who was wondering: don't skip the orange! I did the first time I made this smoothie (though to be fair, my blender at the time couldn't handle the orange anyway) and it's definitely better with it. Doesn't taste citrus-y at all! I also do 1 tsp spirulina and 1/2 tsp chlorella and add another tsp dried (or fresh) mint to counteract the pond scum taste of the chlorella.
Anyway...this is such a delicious concoction and the photos are beautiful, just like you!!!
