Check out my post on the power of green smoothies here.
Green Smoothie: makes about 4 cups
1 peeled lemon
1 peeled orange
3 cups dino kale/rainbow chard
1 frozen banana
2 cups water
pinch of stevia
half cucumber
handful of cilantro
chunk of peeled ginger
Blend it up and absorb the energy!

what kind of blender do you own?
vita-mix!! =) best kind.
if i only have enough money for one raw food kitchen essential... which would you recommend...
vitamix
or
food processor?
well, the vita-mix is pretty expensive - you might have to save up. so i'd recommend buying a food processor in the meantime.
This is super yummy! I opted out from the grapes & put some fresh pineapple instead. It was like a tropical green paradise in my mouth!
Do you drink all 4 cups? Because I definitely do!! So delicious! :)
Oh heck yes - sometimes more!
Hehe, awesome! I decided to go vegan this month, and I've fallen in love with the simplicity this lifestyle! Anyways, I'm so happy that I found you today. I really admire your work!! You're simply amazing at what you do!! Thanks for sharing your gift with the world!
:)
I just made this and I guess my blender sucks because there are small chunks of kale so I am like chewing instead of drinking hahaha besides that it actually tastes really good. ( mine looks like a frozen mojito because of the chunks of kale hahah not so rich and creamy and smooth like yours :'( ) And I used the Diamond blender that it is supposed to be really strong and blah blah blah... might need to switch to a vita mix :)
Emily, what Vita-Mix do you use? I want to buy one to make nut cheeses, nut butters, and juicing. I have so many bad experiences with food processors and blenders..... Thanks :)
Emily, this looks delicious! Can I use regular kale for this since I don't have dino kale? Will it dramatically change the taste?
@Katie Brown - Use any kind of kale you like :)
WHat can i use instead of rainbow chard. i cant find it in my country and i dont know what it tastes like so difficult to know wht to substitute it with
@Nana - use any other dark leafy green :)
