detox for the new year

Happy New Year, everyone! I have been saying for a while now that it seems to me 2013 is a distinctly new phase in the history of humankind - don't know why. "2013" just sounds more epic and futuristic than 2012 or any previous year. Think about it: "Twenty Thirteen"... wooaah.

Anyhoo. Detox.

I figured after the holiday you guys are probably not feeling your cleanest. I, for one, was enjoying the abundance of wine that is a primary necessity for any successful social gathering. As well as the raw vegan cheeses my mom and I made. If you're like me - you just wanna clean up your system a bit and feel some detox. Juice is great for detoxification since it is nutrient-PACKED and absorbed into your juicy bloodstream in about 15 minutes.

Which reminds me - let me go off on a tangent here - you should watch this documentary called Hungry For Change and show it to everyone you care about! I loved it. It is exactly what Standard American Dieters need right now. It is made by the same people who did Food Matters (another solid doc) and it applies to anyone who wants to finally experience superior health and happiness in an affordable, natural and easy way. Okay, tangent done.

Clean out your system and get back to that fresh, clear-minded feeling you learn to adore on the raw food diet. Make juice.

this glass of juice:

2 apples
3 carrots
1/2 cucumber
2 pineapple slices
1/2 cup cilantro mint leaves
1 tomato
1/2 lemon

Peel and slice as needed, then throw everything in your juicer! Enjoy.

    1. As much as you want. There is no calorie restrictions when eating a raw food diet. Enjoy!

    2. I drink a glass of fresh juice usually once a day, unless I am juice fasting - then 3-5 times a day for 5-10 days.

    3. And you want to be drinking fruitier juices in the morning because they will give you the raw natural high carbohydrate energy you need throughout the day, and then as the day moves on add vegetables to your juice such as tomatoes, celery, and various greens to fill yourself and detoxify your system before you wind down for sleep!
      Good Luck! :)

    1. It can be healthy if people do not do it correctly, but that is the case with everything. As long as you know what you are doing then it can be the healthiest process you ever allow your body to go through! :)

  5. YES! This is exactly what I need. I am on holiday with my boyfriend's family right now and we are certainly enjoying the chocolates and hot whisky right now (and I'm sad to say it's hard to be vegan around here). I can't wait to make some juices when I get back home tomorrow! I am writing down the shopping list for the ingredients right now.

  6. I juice regularly and I found it to be very healing on so many levels. The amount of health and vitality is emense. I find it entertaining when someone says "ur starving urself..Actually, no im getting more nuitience and satisfaction then when I ate the SAD diet. People do not believe that ive reversed my type 1 diabetees HBP Chl levels , IBS, chronic fatigue and 20 years of pysch meds. Now I have no depression or anxiety lost 85 lbs went from 52 inch waist to 31 in 9 months. People I tell my story say its not healthy!! There is an unhealthy way to do all things its just a matter of believing that you are capable of controling your health.and that diseasr isnt all genetic..its evirimental. If ur body is acidic you will develop degenerative diseases. So juicing will alkuline ur blood cleanse ur orgams an esentially give ur body back to its natural settings ;) this is a wonderful page so great that ur doing this page peace and light to you!!
